Audiobook: Talking As Fast As I Can by Lauren Graham

Talking as Fast As I CanWhen I saw this book by Lauren Graham I knew that I had to read it. After all, the subtitle is “From Gilmore Girls to Gilmore Girls and Everything In Between”. I loved Gilmore Girls growing up so reading a book written by one of the main characters was right up my alley.

Since I am on a kick to listen to nonfiction narrated by the authors, I quickly borrowed the audiobook on Libby. I wanted to know if Lauren Graham was just as quirky as she was on the show, and talked just as fast. Well, I will let you discover that for yourself.

Graham gives her readers just want they want to know. How she got picked for the show, what happened after the show went off the air and how it came back all those years later. There is even a section in the book where she goes season by season, explaining the cultural trends that were going on during that year, Lorelai’s fashion choices and more. Graham keeps the book light and gives the reader just enough tidbits about her personal life to round out the story but keep it moving at a decent pace.

One downside to the audiobook is that Graham includes a bunch of photos in the book, which you can’t see, for obvious reasons, but I believe there is a PDF attached to the audio for those who are curious. I just went in the book store and flipped through the book.

Overall, a very enjoyable read/listen. I recommended this to my best friend and she is loving it. πŸ™‚

  1. I’m glad I read your review. Been wanting to pick this up since I ran out of Gilmore Girls episodes to watch. Sounds like it’s just what I want it to be 😊😊😊
